Turn To Ayn Rand National real estate marketing and technology blog Realtors and real estate, mortgage and investment news: "Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it’s yours. -Ayn Rand"

‘America lives in a fascist state’ – Gerald Celente Top Stories from 2009-04-19 RT
"The problem is there is nothing free market about carbon cap and trading. New Zealand Climate Science Coalition chair Bryan Leyland explains why:

So, to my knowledge, carbon trading is the only commodity trading where it is impossible to establish with reasonable accuracy how much is being bought and sold, where the commodity that is traded is invisible and can perform no useful purpose for the purchaser, and where both parties benefit if the quantities traded have been exaggerated. … It is, therefore, an open invitation to fraud and that is exactly what is happening all over the world.

Carbon is ubiquitous in our lives and in our economy. The only way a cap and trade “market” could work is with round the clock and pervasive big government surveillance and monitoring of everything you do. Does that sound like a “free market” to you?"

P.J. O'Rourke wrote a chapter in 'Eat the Rich' on Tanzania, a country wealthy in resources that is very poor. We have given enough aid to buy everyone in Tanzania a forty acre farm, yet the people are as poor as ever. He demonstrates why. It isn't the evil Westerners taking advantage or hiring Western consultants-- it's corrupt and incompetent local government. A smart, hard-working Tanzanian in America does well and becomes comfortably well off. A smart, hard-working Tanzanian in Tanzania is so stifled by corruption and bureaucratic inefficiency that if he really is smart he becomes a government bureaucrat and gets a Mercedes and a Swiss bank account.
I know many people who have worked in Africa through my missionary contacts. There is a grim saying they all report-- 'One Week a Tourist, Three Weeks a Racist.' The mind-boggling incompetence of African societies seems to be a sad universal with no easy solution."

WEB OF DEBT BLOG

WEB OF DEBT BLOG: "So now, another pseudo-branch of the government (Federal Reserve Bank - chartered by Congress in 1913) is now buying most of these T-bills and T-notes and putting them on their balance sheet. They are doing so in a scheme to keep the interest rates as low as possible. In other words, they have stepped in front of the market and now ARE the market for T-bills and notes. There are other buyers and sellers of T-notes and bills, but due to the size of the Federal Reserve, and the depth of their pockets, they are elbowing everyone else out of the market."
Isn't this similiar to "cooking the books"? The Fed has got the ill-fated Enron beat.

To The Brain, God Is Just Another Guy : NPR: "The Origins Of Religion
Grafman says that probably means religions appeared as humans evolved the ability to handle complicated social interactions during the past 60,000 years or so.
Joseph Bulbulia, an expert on the cognitive psychology of religion at Victoria University in New Zealand, says most evidence of religious behavior only dates back about 10,000 years, raising questions about why humans didn't become religious sooner.
But he agrees that religious belief probably had a role in human evolution because it has helped societies survive and thrive for thousands of years."

Campaign For Liberty — Income Tax Is Worker Exploitation by Anthony Gregory: "Having paid rent on their lives to the corporate state, a large fraction of which payment has financed slaughter, persecution and further oppression of workers, the tax serfs must prove to the state to its satisfaction that the right amount has been extracted from them. If they fail, they go to jail."
